Delbert Ewoldt is the newly elected sheriff, beginning his term on January 9, 2007. This is his third county to serve as sheriff. He previously served in Summit County, CO and Chase County, NE.
This office offers 24 hour law enforcement protection to the citizens of Sedgwick County.

Pat Ross, Colleen Babcock, Jody Nelson and Larry Nail: Communications Officers
Mario Sanchez, Diana Bogendorfer, Rosie Sanchez Acosta, Marilyn Wilbur: Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office Interpreters, Spanish Only
Duties:
Officers: Patrol entire county, handle citizen calls, investigate crime and are responsible for traffic enforcement throughout the county
Communications Officers: Dispatch officers, fire departments and Sedgwick County Ambulance Service calls throughout the county, handle general office work and greet the public during business hours.
