Hiring Accounting Clerk for Sedgwick County Human Services

The Sedgwick County Department of Human Services is now accepting applications for a full time Accounting Clerk I, II, III or IV (DOE).  Must have accounting knowledge, computer experience and be proficient in excel and QuickBooks.  A High School Diploma or GED is required.

Hiring Communications Director

Sedgwick County has an employment opportunity for the Communications Director position.  This is a full time position.  Applications may be picked up at the Clerk and Recorders office or downloaded below.


  • Requires a high school diploma and 3 years experience performing increasingly responsible duties in a law enforcement environment preferred including; 1 year supervisory experience; 2 years of dispatch experience within the last 2 years; experience working in a law enforcement communications center preferred.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, CPR by date of hire.
  • NCIC/CCIC Certifcation.
  • Certification in Emergency Medical Dispatch (EMD)
  • FEMA IS-144 Telecommunications Emergency Response Task Force Certification.
  • APCO Institute or similar Communications Training Officer.
  • Current OSN.
  • Must be able to pass a background investigation to include a local, state and federal criminal history check; sex offender registry and credit check.

The Sedgwick County Communication Center is currently accepting applications for the position of Part Time Dispatcher (Emergency 911 Dispatcher).  As a Dispatcher, the employee is responsible for the operation of the emergency communications console including the receipt of calls and proper dispatch of appropriate equipment and personnel to provide assistance to the citizens of Sedgwick County in the areas of Law Enforcement, Fire and Emergency Medical Services.  Position open until filled.
